A little intro as this is my first post here. I've been a "snapshot shooter" for about 20 years and am just now getting into "serious" photography. I took my first instruction in photography last week at a workshop in Estes Park, Co. This is one of the 2000 photos I took.

Well, ok. This $%^@##^&*#&^ work computer will not allow me to do the photo link. I'll have to try some other time.

Hey that's a very interesting pic. I like it. Perhaps a touch dark, but maybe that was the effect you were going for? In any case. Nice one.

Thanks for linking the photo. I'll another one later from my home pc.
This one was taken on the west side of the Rockies near Grand Lake before the sun came up over the mountain. You can see some of the new light in the ripples. One I took with a wider aperture and slower speed was washed out.

The more I look at this photo the more it begs the question: Is this an art-type photo or were you trying to render out natural looking colors for the early morning?

From an art standpoint I really like it - maybe even consider doing something crazy with the colors to really make it pop out of the screen.

From an early morning snapshot I'm not so sure, the bushes really dominate the frame and the duckies are almost consumed by them..headscratch.gif
